Using real-world examples of both residential and commercial properties, Mechanical Damage to Roofs teaches you methods for differentiating hail- and wind-caused damage from effects that are not caused by natural weathering.  The course covers situations when a roof is unintentionally damaged (such as during maintenance or installation activities).  It also includes situations in which an individual attempts to simulate damage through the use of tools and/or force.  Course clues and techniques for differentiating these effects can be particularly useful in SIU investigations.  Importantly, this online seminar covers several conditions which are commonly attributed to the wrong cause.   Section quizzes and a final exam are required to complete this course.
