Get Certified as a Haag Certified Inspector-Residential Roofs (New in 2019!)

Haag's industry changing HCI-R program is now available to qualified individuals online for the first time!

The HCI-R course was introduced to the industry back in 2007, since then Haag has certified 18,000 roof inspectors in the US and Canada.

This course will teach you inspection techniques on assessing damage to steep slope roofs:

  • Asphalt Composition Roofs
  • Wood Shingles and Shakes
  • Concrete and Clay Tile
  • Slate
  • Synthetic Roof Materials
  • Metal Roofs

Each section of roofing materials will cover the manufacture, installation, weathering, hail & wind damage, mechanical damage and repair techniques for that roofing product.  In addition we will also discuss basic weather and physics principles, roof inspection safety, and repair vs. replacement cost analysis.

Completing  this course will make you a more accurate, fast and confident roof inspector of steep slope/residential roofs!

Please note that this course does require minimum field experience of 100 residential roof inspections.  You will be asked to verify experience and provide references who can also vouch for your experience upon registration.  Haag does perform random experience verification audits.

Students must pass the final exam with a score of 70/100 or better to finalize the certification.  A live, online proctored exam will be administered at the completion of the course. The exam can be completed from your own computer equipped with a webcam and proper system minimum requirements.
